Off White Stoneware clay ~ smooth

Suggested firing temperature : 1200 > 1300 °c

Superb, strong stoneware throwing body based on top quality porcelain china clay and ball clays with added flux for good 'ring'. Excellent domestic ware body suitable for large and small wares. Smooth textured but stands well and can be thrown quite thinly. Shows colour glaze colour well, it will fire to an off-white colour.

Before using, clay should be kneaded to ensure that the moisture content is even and to expel any air bubbles. Always avoid using the clay straight from the bag, as this can result in warping and cracking as there could be inconsistencies of softer and harder clay.

I would always advise to test how your clays and glazes interact with each other.
