Suggested firing temperature : 1200 > 1300 °c

Rokk grey grogged stoneware has been developed for sculptural applications and for outdoors pieces, the high grog content provides a beautiful textured surface and excellent handling qualities. Depending on the firing temperature this body takes on a range of grey hues. To retain a 'cool grey', fire at 1200C or below. The grey hue can become 'brownish' above this temperature and certain glazes will emphasise this.

Available for COLLECTION ONLY from the studio in Bedminster, Bristol - as due to the weight I cannot currently post this item.

Before using, clay should be kneaded to ensure that the moisture content is even and to expel any air bubbles. Always avoid using the clay straight from the bag, as this can result in warping and cracking as there could be inconsistencies of softer and harder clay.

I would always advise to test how your clays and glazes interact with each other.
