Have you ever wanted to make your own badges from scratch? Now you can!
In the crafter's paradise that is Trylla in Bedminster, we will help you make your own badges using a badge maker!
This 1hour 30min workshop explain everything you need to know and show you how to use the badge maker so that you can create until your heart's content!
One of the best parts of Christmas (aside from getting presents obviously) is decorating your tree. You can use this session to give your tree a completely personal touch this year! Just imagine how cute your hangers will look nestled between your other decorations or displayed on the wall around the house.
You can paint both sides of your decoration using the underglaze paint colours available. The process is exactly like pottery painting you might have tried before.
You could also gift this experience for loved one as a super sweet Christmas gift.
Create a unique, brightly coloured, spot-painted artwork for your home. In this hands-on workshop, Jo will guide you through the process of painting with various-sized tools to build up a pattern of spots in a circular mandala form onto a pre-painted 4” black canvas.
Mandala painting is a highly relaxing and meditative form of art. There is no right or wrong, just the pleasure of creating!
Imagine creating a unique 3D fluffy bumblebee artwork to hang on your wall. In this workshop Jo will guide you through each process of how to needle punch your three-dimensional bumblebee onto canvas. You will then learn how to line stitching the details of your bee and permanently fix your bee to a circular card with an integral hanging wire.
Punch needling is an easy and addictive form of needlework. It involves using a hollow needle tool to punch wool into fabric mounted on an embroidery hoop to keep it securely in place. The punch needle creates loops that are held through the material with the tension of the fabric, and the wool loops can then be trimmed to create a pleasing sculptural shape.
Create a unique, brightly coloured mixed-media artwork for your wall. In this hands-on
workshop, Jo will guide you through the process of overlaying stencils and using various colour techniques to create unusual abstract and varied patterns into beautiful artwork.
The stencils are plant-themed, which will lend your finished work a sense of leafiness, however far you stretch it. There is no right or wrong, just the pleasure of creating! You will be provided with all you need to make your mixed-media painting.
Our studio space is on the ground floor. We have portable ramps to cover the two small steps into the entrance of the shop and a third step up to the back of the shop. Please get in touch if you would like dimensions and gradients for these ramps. The basement studio is only accessible by stairs. However, all of our tools and equipment are on the ground floor, and we are happy to move your work downstairs for you into the kiln room when you have finished - just let us know!
